How to launch the application manually from command-line, and any tips on how to launch Ubuntu in Terminal using a specific color profile?

So I'm using Windows 10 and I don't even know how to inspect shortcut links these days. Application shortcuts are as opaque as they can be. Please give me tips on:

• How to examine an application installed from the store; know the commands needed to launch it manually
• Launch a CLI application in Terminal with a specific color profile
• Launch WSL2 Ubuntu in the Terminal, hopefully with a specific color profile too

Edit: My real issue is Ubuntu used to work well and run in its own purplish color profile before I install (re-installed? can't remember) the Terminal but now clicking on the link from startup just shows Terminal in default mode. The old pin in the taskbar however still works correctly but only if I run it first.

I ended up having this solution: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\wt.exe new-tab --profile "Ubuntu 24.04 LTS"

That's exactly it!

Just FYI - on a normal/stock Windows installation, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\WindowsApps is already on PATH. You shouldn't need to fully qualify wt.exe. 😄

You can also shorten it to wt nt -p "Ubuntu 24.04 LTS"

If you want to select a specific profile but run a different command, you can specify the command at the end:

wt nt -p "Ubuntu 24.04 LTS" powershell.exe
